Why manifesting your desires still doesn’t feel enough
There has been so much popularity and a rise in Law of Attraction teachings and manifestation. You may see people posting online about living their dream lives, staying at five-star hotel resorts in Bali, or scuba diving in the Maldives, presenting an image of the perfect life. Perhaps you, too, have been enchanted by this vision. However, what you often don't see is the behind-the-scenes struggle. An internal dialogue may still tell you that it's not enough, that you need to manifest more and more, creating a black hole, an inner void that craves for more. Eventually, you might reach a point where you no longer even know what you're striving for.
Hello, beauties! Welcome to my channel. My name is Chanier, and I am a fulfillment coach for feminine souls who desire happiness and fulfillment in life. Today, I want to talk about the Law of Attraction and manifestation and why, for me, it did not lead to happiness or fulfillment. Many people believe that manifesting their dream partner, house, or career will bring them happiness. However, I found that there was a missing piece, and I want to share why that is.
First, let me clarify that I am not a naysayer. I have been a big believer in the Law of Attraction and manifestation, and I still believe in it today. I continue to manifest, but my approach is now entirely different. I see the common mistakes many people, including myself, make when it comes to these teachings. These mistakes keep us on a hamster wheel, needing to manifest more and more to be happy, which is what I experienced.
A bit of background about me: I have been a follower of the Law of Attraction long before I even knew it was a thing. In the 10th grade, I was manifesting my grades, getting A's on exams, and being the "perfect" straight-A student. I used visualization techniques and changed my beliefs about myself, doing all of this before it was popular online. Thanks to the Law of Attraction, I realized I was co-creating with life and the universe. I manifested my husband, my home, and many career opportunities, including business clients.
However, about a year ago, I hit a dead end with the Law of Attraction. I wasn't as excited about it anymore, and I wondered why. I had achieved a successful launch in my business, a five-figure launch, which I had dreamt of for so long. Yet, when I finally reached this goal, I felt empty inside. My mind was then asking, "Now that you've got this goal, then what?" I felt lost, and the achievement didn't mean much to me. This led me to take time off from my business for a personal spiritual quest, trying to understand why manifesting my big dream didn't lead to happiness.
What I discovered was profound. Many people feel empty after manifesting their dreams because they are manifesting from a place of emptiness. They believe that where they are right now is not enough, driven by a deeper fear that they are not enough. This belief leads to the idea that manifesting their dream partner, house, or career will make them happy. But this stems from the belief that they are imperfect and incomplete as they are.
For example, in my case, I was trying to manifest a significant financial goal in my business because I felt deep shame about where I was. I constantly compared myself to others and pedestalized their success, thinking I needed to be in their shoes to be happy. This deep shame led me to avoid accepting who I was at my lows, particularly during times of rejection or lack of clients.
The truth is, the things we run away from continue to haunt us. If we feel ashamed at our lowest points, that version of ourselves will continue to haunt us, especially in our minds. Even if I made $10,000 a month in my business, that little part of me that compared myself to others would still compare myself to those making $50,000 or $100,000 launches. This isn't just about money; it applies to relationships and careers as well.
Another reason the Law of Attraction didn't lead to my happiness was that I was manifesting from my ego. I was driven by selfish needs, wanting to create an image for myself and impress others. My actions were about me, me, me—wanting validation and recognition from others. This ego-driven approach leads to perpetual suffering, constantly needing to maintain an image and gain validation.
True manifestation must come from a pure heart space if you want to be genuinely happy and fulfilled. For me, my approach to the Law of Attraction has changed. It is no longer just about me; it is about serving humanity and contributing to the growth of collective consciousness. This doesn't mean depriving yourself or sacrificing for others; it means manifesting from a place of service.
Manifesting from a place of service gives you a greater purpose and ignites a passion within you. It makes each step of the process fulfilling, and when you finally reach your goals, you feel whole and satisfied. When you are connected to your heart, your actions become fluid and genuine, rather than calculated and rigid.
Often, we focus so much on the goal that it becomes bigger than the present moment. We stop appreciating the present, believing that our vision is better than now. However, the answers and everything we seek lie in the present moment. Only when you connect to the present moment can you truly feel happy. Even when you achieve your goal, you will still meet that present moment in reality. If you cannot feel content in the present, no external achievement will fulfill you.
In conclusion, the Law of Attraction and manifestation did not lead me to happiness because I was manifesting from a place of emptiness and ego. Now, I approach it differently, from a place of service and heart-centeredness. I hope this resonates with you and helps you find true fulfillment in your manifestation journey.
