Life gets to be simple
Life gets to be really simple.
But for many of us, we make it complicated.
Or rather, I would say that… our minds make it a really complicated place to live in.
We get sucked into our to-do lists…
What we should do, what we should have done, how we need to figure out this or that
We get entangled into relationship “spiderwebs”…
What we should have said, who is right or wrong, what they must be thinking about us now
And all of that baggage… is very heavy
And the mind is very loud all the time
Like a heavy chainsaw grinding away on the “problems” in the landfill site of our thoughts
Yet, many of us don’t know that this is what’s happening inside of us
We think that we are “getting somewhere” through this complicated mind
We think this mind that’s always juggling ten thousand things at once will somehow one day “make it” one day on the other side
But from my own life, and the lives of many women I’ve supported, I know that it’s never the case
The mind only picks up more problems, more stress, more things to worry about in life,
But it does not have the solution because it believes that you are a victim of life
That if somehow someone stops liking you, you wouldn’t be loved
Or if that one sale didn’t go through, you wouldn’t be safe
Or that if you’d have to go to that job, you wouldn’t be free
When actually all of that is not true
Who you are in truth is ever loved, ever safe, and ever free
You are still lovable even if that person doesn’t like you
And you are still safe even if that one sale didn’t go through
And you can still be free even if you are working on something you didn’t choose
Only YOU can unlove yourself, unfree yourself, or abandon the safety that exists inside of yourself
When you become love first, safety first, freedom first, nothing outside of you can take it away from you
And when you finally come home to that… to that eternal love, safety, and freedom that always exists in you
You will finally realize how the mind has been caught up the whole time trying to “prevent” danger that actually is unreal
Because the real “danger” that we are most afraid of is what we would feel…if the things we are trying to run away from do happen
But when you can hold that feeling, tend to that feeling, be the love for that feeling, nothing outside will be able to take away That which you already are anymore.
And that’s when you find peace no matter where you are, no matter where you go.
