On comparisonitis
Most of the times, whenever you feel behind compared to someone else,
It’s NOT that you’re actually further behind than them
it’s actually a sign from your soul that she is wanting to be different from whom you’re comparing yourself to.
I realized this within not long ago when I caught myself comparing to other “high-level” coaches/entrepreneurs on social media
The inner critic would say things like-
Oh she’s making more money than me
Oh she’s more popular than me
Oh she’s funnier than me
Reminding me of the times when I felt like being a nerdy, awkward girl back in high school who was ignored by the superstar boys
and never felt like she was one the ‘hot chicks’
Trying to make myself standout on social media felt somewhat similar like I was being compared against other ‘hot chicks’
Most people spend their time trying to be like the ‘hot chicks’
So you can be validated as much as them
But whenever you do this, you lose sight of your own unique path
To bring creative expressions in a way that’s different
To build a business that’s different.
To attract clients in ways that are different.
What a joy and liberation it is to actually veer away from the noisy crowd!
